Let's move a bit deeper into the practice of Shamanism and Shamanic Journeying. Most of our learning, in the traditional sense, comes to us in a linear fashion. You start here, you go here, you end here. When you enter into the 'unseen realms' (Shamanic Journeying/Meditation, Healing), that changes. Shamanic and lineage-based practices often communicate through symbols, felt experiences, and most often through metaphorical meaning. In shamanism, everything is energy. And to be transparent with you, in our current world everything is energy. We just don't always see it that way. It's easier for us to see something as inanimate or as temporary or passing, rather than an exchange of energy which all transactions in your life are.
So what is metaphorical or what does that mean when receiving information? It can mean that the information is not literal (although sometimes it is just that). It means that the information may come as a story, or as a symbol or as a retrieved memory of another experience. It can come as a dream or during dreamtime. Or even feel like a dream. You've probably had dreams like that where you knew the experience was not literal and it maybe cause you to think about it for several days trying to unravel the true message. It will be up to you to figure out how the information comes for you. This can take some time.
When we move into the unseen realms we are not going into the 'woo-woo' it's not a religion or a religious practice, and it's definitely not the occult. What you are doing is coming back into alignment. You are regaining your trust in yourself, in your intuition, in your connection to the divine. You are learning who you are in your soul.
For centuries we have been separated from our source. We have been told it's bad, it's sinful, we are not worthy, we cannot, we are witches, we are wicked, and you know the rest of the story. I want you to remember one thing, you are divine. You are a part of nature, off the cycles of nature and of life. You are not separate. You are one 'with' all that is.
